DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival in Delhi, transfer from airport to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight.

DAY 02: DELHI
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day sightseeing of old & New Delhi. Visit Jamia Mosque,
Red Fort, Chandini Chowk (silver street), Gandhi Smadhi, Birla temple, Qutab Minar, National Museum and walk through Connaught place, Janpath street, the main shopping area. Overnight.

 

OLD DELHI: the Jamma Mosque - a glorious building with three magnificent white domes and a beautiful wall made of cut red sandstone that surrounds the courtyard. The red fort famous for its delicately carved inlaid and marbled royal chambers follows and next is a visit to the Raj Ghat where the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Visit the Gandhi memorial musuem [closed on Mondays] which has landmark items and documents related to Gandhi's life. Tour ends with a visit to the Feroz Shah Kotla erected by Feroz Shah Tughlaq in 1354. In the fortress palace is a 13 metre high Ashoka pillar inscribed with his edicts.

 

NEW DELHI: the Humayun's tomb built in the mid 16th century by Haji begum, wife of Humayun, the second Moghul emperor and is an early example of Moghul architecture. The Safdarjang's Tomb built in 1753 by the Nawab of Oudh for his father Safdarjung. Visit the Qutab Minar a soaring tower of victory which was started in 1193 immediately after the defeat of the last Hindu kingdom in Delhi and is 72 meters high and one of the most perfect towers in the world. Nearby stands the iron pillar which has stood the vagaries of weather for 1500 years and has yet not rusted. Embassy area [Diplmomatic Enclave], government buildings central secretariate president's house and parliament house. Visit India Gate ( 1921 a.d. ) a 42 metre high stone arch of triumph stands at the eastern stand of Rajpath and bears the name of 90,000 Indian army soldiers who died during WWI. Visit the Birla temple erected by the indusrialist Birla dedicated to Vishnu and his consort Laxmi, the goddess of wealth. There’s Jantar Mantar ( astronomical observatory - ( 1719 a.d. ) & also the Connaught Place New Delhi's main shopping centre.

 

DAY 03: DELHI / AGRA
Breakfast at the hotel drive to Agra. Arrive Agra and check in at the hotel. PM proceed for half day sightseeing of Agra & Taj Mahal(Taj Mahal closed on Fridays). Agra situated on the banks of Yamuna river, is famous as being home to one of the seven wonders of the world – the Taj Mahal. Sightseeing tour of Agra includes a visit to Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal in 1632 in white marble. Renowned for its aesthetic beauty, the Taj Mahal is a ornate monument portraying the beauty of eternal love ! A commemoration of the memory of Shahjahan's beloved wife, this extravagant building of timeless beauty is the outcome of a unique combination of passion and architectural exuberance. Visit the Agra fort built by the great Emperor Akbar in 1565 a.d. This fort is a masterpiece of design & construction. Within the fort are a number of exquisite buildings, including Moti Masjid ( Pearl Mosque) - a marble mosque surrounded by arcaded cloisters. Visit the Diwane-e-am & Diwane-e-khas - its walls & palaces are silent witnesses to the rise & fall of the imperial Moghul Empire. Visit the Jasmine Tower & Itmad-ud-daulah's tomb (famous for its intricate inlay work) that reflects the skill of the ancient Indian artisans. Overnight.

DAY 04: AGRA / JAIPUR
Breakfast at hotel. AM drive to Jaipur Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri. Predominantly built in Red Sandstone, the now ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri was originally built by the Mughal Emperor, Akbar. He had planned this city as his capital but shortage of water compelled him to abandon the city. Fatehpur Sikri is one of the finest examples of Mughal architectural splendour at its height & is the best example of the culmination of hindu and muslim architecture. Prime attractions within the city are the Diwan-i-khaas or hall of private audience & the Diwan-i-am or the hall of public audience. A beautiful Jali screen on either sides separated the ladies attending the court. One can also see the various mahals or palaces that were built to house the various wives of King Akbar. The Jami Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India & the dargah of Sheikh Salim Chisti are also located within this complex. Buland Darwaza is the highest and grandest gateway in India and ranks among the biggest in the world. It was erected in 1602 ad to commemorate Akbar’s victory over Deccan. Arrive Jaipur and check in at hotel. Overnight.

DAY 05: JAIPUR
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Amber Fort, high on the rugged hills outside of town is the Amber Palace where the Jaipur Royal House held court for seven centuries. Ascend on painted elephants to the fort to see magnificent gateways, courtyards, pavilions and a glittering chamber of inlaid mirrors. Proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Jaipur:the capital city of the state of Rajasthan is popularly known as the 'Pink City' because of the pink-coloured sandstone from which the buildings in its old, walled city are constructed. City palace - in the heart of the old city is the former royal residence built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles. The palace houses a Musuem with a superb collection of Rajasthani costumes and armoury from the of Mughals and Rajputs. Adjacent to the entrance to the city palace is the observatory or Jantar Mantar. At first glance, Jantar Mantar appears to be just a curious collection of sculptures but, in fact each construction has a specific purpose, such as measuring the positions of stars, altitudes and azimuths, or calculating eclipses. Next is the Hawa Mahal also called as the palace of winds and one of Jaipur's major landmarks, although it is actually little than a facade. It's a five storey building and offers excellent views of the city from the top. The architecturally impressive Albert hall in the Ramniwas gardens of the central museum is the next stop housing paintings of the Jaipur maharajas and many other miniatures and art work. Overnight.

 

DAY 06: JAIPUR / DELHI
Breakfast at hotel. Check out of the hotel to leave for Delhi by surface. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight.

 

DAY 07: DELHI / ONWARDS
Transfer to airport / railway station to board flight / train for onward destination

Drive to Mandawa, the Shekhawati region and visit the fort, havelies, see the oldest frescoes and also visit Mandawa castle presents breathtaking view of the town. Later drive to Mukandgarh fort hotel for overnight.

 

DAY 04: SHEKHAWATI / BIKANER
Drive to Bikaner and in the afternoon visit Junagarh Fort, built in 1593 A.D. Having 37 palaces, temples and pavilions also visit Bikaner city. Overnight.

 

DAY 05: BIKANER / JAISALMER
Drive to Jaisalmer enroute stop at interesting villages for photography etc. And while reaching nearer to Jaisalmer see the Thar desert overnight.

  

DAY 06: JAISALMER
Morning proceed for sight seeing of Jaisalmer, is famous for its intricately latticed havelies with conspicuous facades. Also visit Jain temples and palaces inside the massive fort of Jaisalmer. Afternoon proceed for camel ride to see the beautiful sunset. Overnight.

 

DAY 07: JAISALMER / JODHPUR
Morning drive to Jodhpur and in the afternoon visit the famous beautiful palaces and museum built in the Meharngarh fort, situated on the slope of steep hill. Overnight.

 

DAY 08: JODHPUR
Morning visit Mandore, the ancient capital of Marwar now has a beautifully laid out garden, an oasis in desert. Afternoon visit the interesting and beautiful bazaars of Jodhpur. Overnight.

 

DAY 09: JODHPUR / RANAKPUR
Drive to Ranakpur, known for its superbly carved Jain temples and 1444 intricately carved pillars, no two being alike. After visit drive heritage resort at fort Dhamli. Overnight.

 

DAY 10: RANAKPUR / UDAIPUR
Morning visit the Dhamli village, those who are interesting can do lovely horse riding. Afternoon drive to Udaipur and check-in hotel. Overnight.

 

DAY 11: UDAIPUR
Morning proceed for sight seeing of the enchanting city of Udaipur nestles in a valley among the lush hills of the Aravallis, on the banks of the shimmering lake Pichola. Visit city palace and Saheliyon ki bari, this garden of Maids of honour, brings to the fore the life-style of the royal ladies who once strolled in these gardens. Afternoon explore the bazaars of Udaipur, having countless shops and many interesting local crafts centers. Overnight.

 

DAY 12: UDAIPUR / JAIPUR Drive to Jaipur enroute visit Chittorgarh fort lies on a 180-meter high hill and is spread over 700 acres. Here the tower of victory was built in 1440 to mark the victory of Rana Kumbha in a battle. Overnight.

 

DAY 13: JAIPUR
Today proceed for full day sight seeing of Jaipur, the famous “Pink City” with beautifully constructed palaces, Havelies and forts. Visit Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), Amber Fort, Elephant ride up to the fort, City palace, Jantar Mantar and walk through beautiful bazaars of Jaipur. Overnight.

 

DAY 14: JAIPUR / AGRA
Drive to Agra enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, the old capital of Mughal dynasty. Overnight.

 

DAY 15: AGRA / DELHI
Morning visit the famous Taj Mahal, the 7th wonder of world, built by King Shah Jehan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal, with over 20,000 crafts men completed in 22 years. Agra fort, on the banks of Yamuna river, having number of exquisite buildings. Afternoon drive to Delhi international airport.

DAY 02: KHAJURAHO / VARANASI ( BENERAS)
Morning visit the eastern & western group of famous temples. “Epics in Stone” in the realm of temple architecture, Khajuraho hold a unique position. The temples here were built between 950-1050 A.D. By Chandela Dynasty. Afternoon fly to Varanasi, the holy city of Hindu and proceed to Sarnath, at this place the Buddha preached his first sermon. Overnight.

 

DAY 03: VARANASI / DELHI
Early morning visit the river Ganges by boat and proceed for city tour of Varanasi, known as Kashi, a city of spiritual light and oldest living city in India. Afternoon fly to Delhi. On arrival meet for assistance and transfer to international airport.

DAY 02: DELHI / RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK
Morning transfer to the railway station to board the train to Sawai Madhopur and transfer to the lodge just outside Ranthambore Park. - the Ranthambore National Park was the hunting ground of Maharaja of Jaipur. The park is famous for tigers. Tigers are easily spotted here in daylight. They can be seen lolling around lazily in the sun, or feverishly hunting down sambar around the lakes.. The tigers can be spotted quite often at their normal pursuits - hunting and taking care of their young ones. Ranthambore is one of the best places to see these majestic predators. Overnight.

 

DAY 03: RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast,a thrilling experience a game drive through the park in search of tiger, leopard, crocodile and a variety of other animal and birdlife. Overnight.

DAY 04: RANTHAMBORE / BHARATPUR
Breakfast at the hotel. Am drive to Bharatpur. Arrive Bharatpur and check in At the hotel. PM half day sightseeing tour of Bharatpur. Among the bird sancturies in India, this is one of the best breeding places for water-birds. They assemble in large numbers during the months of July & August and breeding takes place until October, when the young birds are usually big enough to fly away. Prominent among these birds are the bill and heron. Spectacular Sarus cranes breed in the marshy environs of the sanctuary. Small herds of black buck, chita and other animals roam about in the drier parts of the sanctuary. Overnight.

 

DAY 05: BHARATPUR / AGRA
Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive Agra and check in at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. AM transfer to the airport to board flight to Varanasi. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Overnight.

 

DAY 07: VARANASI
Breakfast at the hotel. AM proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Varanasi. Varanasi (also known as Banaras) situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges, is one of the oldest living cities in the world & the ultimate pilgrimage for Hindus. Half day sightseeing tour includes visit to Bharat Mata temple - dedicated to 'Mother India'. This temple has a marble relief map of India instead of the usual images of God & Goddesses, it gives an excellent impression of the high isolation of the Tibetan plateau. Visit the Durga temple, commonly called the 'Monkey temple' - because of the presence of myrids of monkeys. Built in the 18th century, it is one of the best known temples, but open only to Hindus. Visit the great mosque of Aurangzeb, this great mosque has minarets towering 71 metres above the Ganges, visit the sacred bull, the well of knowledge, the Vishwanath temple (Golden Temple) dedicated to Lord Shiva, the presiding deity of the city. The Shivalinga installed in the temple remains the devotional focus of Varanasi, open to Hindus only. Visit the Banaras Hindu University, one of the oldest educational centres in India. Visit the brocade & the saree shops, drive through the bazaars & thereafter return to the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 08: VARANASI / KHAJURAHO
Breakfast at the hotel. AM transfer to the airport to board flight to Khajuraho. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Overnight.

DAY 09: KHAJURAHO
Breakfast at the hotel. AM proceed for a sightseeing tour of Khajuraho. One of the most celebrated manifestations of Indian architecture are the temples of Khajuraho that represent, a happy and almost unique coincidence of religious emotion, abundant patronage, artistic genius and aesthetic sensibility. Having weathered surprisingly well, some of these show marks of Shaivite sensibility, others clearly manifest the influence of Vaishnaism, Jainism and Tantrism. These temples have an architectural character distinct from that of any other group of temples elsewhere in the country -each remarkable for its beautiful design and profusion of sculpture and its graceful pillars. DAY 10: KHAJURAHO / BANDHAVGARH
Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Bandhavgarh. Arrive Bandhavgarh and check in at the hotel. Overnight.

 

DAY 11: BANDHAVGARH
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Bandhavgarh National Park, set in rugged terrain with vast savannah like grassland. In addition to the healthy tiger population, the park also supports leopard, sloth bears, Nilgai and many species of birdlife. Overnight.

 

DAY 12: BANDHAVGARH / DELHI
Breakfast at the hotel. AM free. PM transfer to Umeria railway station to board train Utkal express departing at 2025 hrs. Overnight in the train.

DAY 02: DELHI / AMRITSAR
Early morning board train for Amritsar, the city of Sikhs. Afternoon visit Jalianwala Bagh, dedicated to hundreds of a massacre in 1919, Golden Temple, the Sikh Shrine, several important Gurdwaras. Late night re-visit the Golden Temple to see the special prayer ceremony. Overnight.

 

DAY 03: AMRITSAR / JAMMU / SRINAGAR
Morning drive to Jammu airport (4 hours) and fly to Srinagar, the heart of the Kashmir valley. From airport drive to lakeshore and from here you will be taken by Shikara (Gondola) to the deluxe houseboat situated in the most beautiful part of the lake. Afternoon proceed for Shikara (Gondola) ride, visit the floating gardens, vegetable gardens and pass through the narrow canals of the lake. Overnight.

 

DAY 04: SRINAGAR
Morning visit the famous Mughal gardens. Afternoon proceed for city tour and visit the Shiva temple situated on the top of Shankara-Chariya hill, from here see the beautiful view of Srinagar city. Overnight.

 

DAY 05: SRINAGAR
Day on disposal to relax on the deck of houseboat or walk through the beautiful bazaars or take an optional tour to visit the mountains of Gulmarg (the meadow of flowers ) highest golf course in the world as well as famous spot for winter sports. Overnight.

 

DAY 06: SRINAGAR / KARGIL (2730 M.)

DAY 07: KARGIL / ALCHI (3420 M.)
Drive to Alchi enroute visit Mulbeck monastery, famous for its 9 meter high rock carvings in deep relief and visit Lamayuru, the oldest monastery in Ladakh and pass through Namikala pass (3900 m.), Fatula pass (4100 m.) And Khalsi village. Camp overnight at Alchi or Uleytokpo. Overnight.

DAY 08: ALCHI – LEH (3550 M.)
Morning visit the Alchi monasteries founded in 11th century and also visit the Alchi village. Afternoon drive to Leh - Ladakh (roof top of the world), enroute visit Phyang and Spituk monasteries, one of the oldest in upper Indus valley. Check-in hotel Knaglha-Chenn or similar. Overnight.

 

DAY 09: LEH (LADAKH)
Proceed for full day sight seeing of Shay, Thiksey and Hemis monasteries, is one of the largest and richest monastery in Ladakh, 350 years old. The monastery have huge golden statue of Buddha. Overnight.

DAY 03: SRINAGAR
Morning visit the famous Mughal gardens. Afternoon proceed for city tour and visit the Shiva temple situated on the top of Shankara-Chariya hill, from here see the beautiful view of Srinagar city. Overnight.

DAY 04: SRINAGAR
Day on disposal to relax on the deck of houseboat or walk through the beautiful bazaars or take an optional tour to visit the mountains of Gulmarg (the meadow of flowers ) highest golf course in the world as well as famous spot for winter sports. Overnight.

 

DAY 05: SRINAGAR / KARGIL (2730 M.)
Drive to Kargil (Suru Valley) with packed lunch enroute visit Kangan, Sonamarg, cross Zojila pass (3550 m.) And Drass valley. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Overnight.

DAY 06: KARGIL / ALCHI (3420 M.)
Drive to Alchi enroute visit Mulbeck monastery, famous for its 9 meter high rock carvings in deep relief and pass through Namikala (3900 m.), Fatula (4100 m.), visit Lamayuru, the oldest monastery in Ladakh. Camp overnight at Alchi or Uleytokpo.

 

DAY 07: ALCHI – LEH (3550 M.)
Morning visit the Alchi monasteries founded in 11th century and also visit the Alchi village. Afternoon drive to Leh - Ladakh (Roof Top of the world), enroute visit Phyang and Spituk monasteries, one of the oldest in Upper Indus valley. Check-in hotel Kang-Lha-Chenn or similar. Overnight.

 

DAY 08: LEH / SUMOOR
After breakfast drive to Sumoor via Khardungla pass (5450 m.), one of highest motorable road in the world., from here see the magnificent view of Karakoram range. The valley trade route Leh-Kharga. Camp overnight at Sumoor.

 

DAY 09: SUMOOR / PANAMIC / SUMOOR
After breakfast drive to panamic and visit the beautiful village, hot springs, ideal for physical ailments and if possible Ansa monastery can be visited. Return to camp enroute visit Sumoor monastery. Overnight.

 

DAY 10: SUMOOR / HUNDER-DISKET / SUMOOR
After early breakfast drive to Disket, the 45 minutes walk through long scattered chortens and witness the morning prayer ceremony. Later visit Hunder Gompa, belonging to yellow sect and has huge impressive statue of Chambha in the main prayer hall. Return to Sumoor for overnight.

DAY 11: SUMOOR - LEH
After breakfast drive to Leh via Khardungla pass and check-in hotel. Overnight.

 

DAY 12: LEH (LADAKH)
Proceed for full day sight seeing of Shay, the old summer palace of king 565 years. Thiksey, twelve stories and ten temple monastery and Hemis, the one of the largest and richest monastery in Ladakh, 350 years old. The monastery have huge golden statue of Buddha. Overnight.

DAY 13: LEH
Morning visit Sankar Gompa, the seat of yellow sect buddhists has collection of gold statue and wall paintings. Leh palace, a miniature version of Potala in Lhasa (Tibet), has old Tankas and statue. Afternoon free for personal activities / shopping etc. Overnight.

DAY 14: LEH / DELHI
Morning fly to Delhi, proceed to hotel, room will be provided for wash & change. Afternoon proceed for sight seeing of New Delhi visit Qutab Minar, Safdarjung tomb and pass by government building, India gate. Late night transfer to international airport.

DAY 01: ARRIVE LEH
On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer you to hotel. Lunch at hotel. Complete day for rest to get acclimatize with the high altitude in Leh(Ladakh) which is 3500 meters above sea level. Overnight.

 

DAY 02: LEH
Morning half day tour of Spituk and Phyang monastery by jeeps. At the time of lunch return back to hotel. Afternoon visit by foot to Kings Palace, Leh Mosque, Leh Gompa, and Leh Bazar. In the evening return back to hotel. Overnight.

DAY 03: LEH / KHARDONGLA PASS / LEH
After breakfast full day excursion to Khardongla pass which is the highest motorable pass in the world 5600 mtrs and has been recorded in the Guinness book of the world records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountain. In the evening back to the hotel. Overnight.

 

DAY 04: LEH / PANGONG LAKE / LEH
Leave early morning at 5am to Pangong lake through Changla pass 5486 mtrs. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to Lukung at the western shore of the lake and drive along the Pangong lake upto Spangmik(8lms) the last point allowed for tourists. Enjoy the landscape in the backdrop of the lake. This famous blue brackish lake of Pangong is 5/6/kms wide and over 144 kms long with half of its running the other side of the “indo china border”. In the late afternoon drive back to Leh. Overnight.

 

DAY 05: LEH / SARCHU
Full day drive to Sarchu via Upshi and we have to cross second highest motorable pass in the world (Taglangla pass 5350 mtrs). At pang we stop for lunch continue drive to Lachungla pass 5065 mtrs rugged in the middle of the mountains. Arrive Sarchu tonight our camp will be at 4200 mtrs. And it will be the coldest night during the whole tour. Overnight in tents.

 

DAY 06: SARCHU / JISPA / MANALI
Sarchu is the borderline between Jammu and Himachal Pradesh after 20 kms drive we enter in to Himachal Pradesh and we reach Baralachala pass 4883 mtrs here on the top there is a lake known as Surajtal. After short drive we reach Keylong the head district in this area, continue drive to Manali. Overnight.

 

DAY 07: MANALI
Halt at Manali for lavish display and visit 400 years old Pagoda temple of Hadimba Devi and old Manali to see the Manu temple. Afternoon one can visit to the Vaishisht hot sulfur spring bath. Overnight.

 

DAY 08: MANALI / BUNTAR AIRPORT / BUS STAND
After breakfast transfer in time to the buntar airport or bus stand.

Full day excursion to Sonmarg, which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. On the way we stop at many beautiful spots. Continue drive to Sonmarg 2690mtrs (Meadow of Gold). One can ride on horse to visit to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year and Sonmarg is known as gateway to Ladakh. In the evening return to houseboat. Overnight at houseboat.

DAY 05: SRINAGAR / PAHALGAM / SRINAGAR
Full day excursion to Pahalgam 2440mtrs (vale of Kashmir) on the visit saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag sulfur spring. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian film industry. Enjoy the nature charm of the valley. In the evening return back to houseboat. Overnight at houseboat.

 

DAY 06: SRINAGAR
Morning visit to the Shankracharya temple (Shiva temple) which commands one of the magnificent view of the Srinagar city and the lakes. Overnight at houseboat.
