DAY 01: ARRIVE CHENNAI (MADRAS)
On arrival at Chennai (Madras) transfer to hotel. PM proceed for sight seeing of chennai visit national art gallery, itself a fine old gothic building, fort St.George containing the oldest Anglican church in india, St.Mary’s church and also visit the ancient Kapaleshwar temple dedicated to Shiva, having beautifully-sculptured Gopuram (temple-tower). Overnight.

DAY 02: CHENNAI / KANCHIPURAM / MAHABALIPURAM
Drive to Mahabalipuram, "The City of Seven Pagodas" enroute visit Kanchipuram "City of Thousand temples" and the capital of Pallava dynasty 7th to 9th century A.D. Overnight at beach resort at covelong.

DAY 03: MAHABALIPURAM / PONDICHERRY
Morning drive to Pondicherry. Afternoon: visit Pondicherry, known as the ‘Little France’ with its street cafes, villas old shops and churches also visit Aurovilee, the ‘City of Dawn’ built as a kind of Utopia amidst the madness of modernity. Overnight.

DAY 04: PONDICHERRY / TANJORE
Morning drive to Tanjore, the ancient capital of the Chola Kings. Afternoon visit Brihadeshwara temple, built by the famous Chola ruler and if time permits Darusaram and Gangaikonda Cholapuram can be visited. Overnight.

DAY 05: TANJORE / TIRUCHIERAPPLY
Morning drive to Tiruchierapally (Trichy), another ancient city with a history dating from the days of the cholas. Afternoon visit the Rock fort, climb 434 steps cut into the rock side and interspersed with shrines lead up to the top. Also visit the ancient temple dedicated to Lord Ganpati and beautiful coloful bazaars of Trichy. Overnight.

DAY 06: TIRUCHIERAPPLY / MADURAI
Drive to Madurai, the city of nectar and the capital of Pandaya Kingdom until the 10th century, has a beautiful legend to its origin which dates back to the Pre-Christian era. After walk through the colorful bazaars and evening witness temple function. Overnight.

DAY 07: MADURAI
Morning visit the famous Meenakshi temple, probably the biggest temple in the country and also visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace- a gracious building in the Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stucco work on the domes and arches. Afternoon free for shopping etc. Overnight.

DAY 08: MADURAI / ALLEPEY
Morning drive to Allepey. On arrival drive to Allepey Jetty and check in house boat. Journey through waterways that traverse past picturesque villages. Field brimming with ripe paddy. Rows and rows of swaying coconut palms. Watch Kerala life, at work and at play. You’ll set sail in a traditional Kettuvallom. Overnight in house boat.

DAY 09: ALLEPEY / KUMARAKOM
Arrive at Kumarakom and check in resort. Day at leisure. Overnight.
Kumarakom is an unbelievably beautiful paradise of Mangrove forest, green paddy field and coconut groves, criss-crossed by enchanting waterways.

DAY 10: KUMARAKOM
Day free. Overnight.

DAY 11: KUMARAKOM / KOVALAM
Drive to Kovalam-3.5 hrs. Arrive & check-in hotel. Overnight.

DAY 12: KOVALAM
Day at leisure on beach. Overnight.

DAY 13: KOVALAM / COCHIN
Drive to Cochin enroute proceed on backwaters cruise from Kottayam to Allepy through the canals with full of palms and rice fields and very interesting to see the life of people living in lagoon. Overnight.

DAY 14: COCHIN
Morning proceed for sight seeing of Cochin, a city with a rich past, from time immemorial has seen maritime trade with the outside world. The Pheonicians came here to trade for spices, ivory and sandlewood. Visit the jewish synagogue built in 1568, Dutch palace built by portuguese in 1510, San Francis church, the first European church in india, where Vasco Di Gama was buried until his remains were taken back to Portugal. In the evening witness a kathakali dance. Overnight.

DAY 15: COCHIN / BANGALORE / MYSORE
Morning fly to Bangalore and drive to Mysore. Overnight.

DAY 16: MYSORE
Full day sight seeing of Mysore, a princely city of palaces and gardens of rare oriental splendor. Visit Maharaja Palace, Nandi Bull at Chamundi hill, Mundeswari temple and Brindavan gardens. Overnight.

DAY 17: MYSORE / HASSAN
Drive to Hassan enroute visit Halebid and Belur, the twin capital of the ancient Hoysala Kingdom (1100 to 1310 ad). The temples at both places are excellent example of Hoysala architecture with intricate carvings with images of Ganesh, Durga and Goddess Sarswati. They rank among masterpieces of Indian sculpture at. Overnight.

DAY 18: HASSAN / BANGALORE / CHENNAI
Morning drive to Bangalore and proceed for sight seeing. Bangalore’s beginnings go back only as far as 1537. Today it is the cosmopolitan and modern city, one of the fastest growing. Late evening proceed to airport and fly to Chennai (Madras).

ANDHRA PRADESH & TAMIL NADU (08 NIGHTS / 09 DAYS)

DAY 01: MUMBAI / AURANGABAD
Transfer to the railway station in Mumbai for overnight train to Aurangabad. Overnight in train.

DAY 02: ARRIVE AURANGABAD
Arrive Aurangabad & transfer to hotel. Later proceed for a full day sightseeing trip to the Ajanta caves and magnificent 12th century fortress of Daulatabad. Believed to have been inhabited since the stone age, Aurangabad is a hub of culture and history and is perhaps the fastest growing industrial town in India. It is most popular today as the base to visit the Ajanta & Ellora caves that date back to the 2nd century B.C. a masterpiece in every sense of the word, these caves were meant as Chaityas or prayer halls and Viharas or resting places for the buddhist monks that visited and lived here. These caves hewn out of rock in the shape of a mammoth horse shoe exhibit exquisite fresco paintings and sculptures from the life of Buddha. Return to the hotel, overnight.

DAY 03: AURANGABAD / HYDERABAD
After breakfast at the hotel, half day sightseeing of Aurangabad city – visit the Bibi ka Maqbara which is a replica of the Taj Mahal and the Ellora caves. The Kailas temple is the highlight of the visit to the Ellora caves. Chiseled by hand from a single massive rock, it includes a gateway, pavillion, courtyard, vestibule, tower and sanctum sanctorum. Return to Aurangabad city for a walk through its busy markets – indulge in some local handicraft shopping like Himroo shawls, Paithani sarees or the intricate Bidriware. Transfer to the railway station for overnight train to Hyderabad. Overnight in train.

DAY 04: ARRIVE HYDERABAD
Arrive in Hyderabad and proceed for breakfast at a local restaurant. Proceed for a tour of Golconda. Its massive battlements wind up the dust brown hill that brings you into the fort. The fort's name has its origin in the local Telegu language that mean ‘shepherd’s hill'. Built for the first time during the 13th century by the Kakatiyas of Waranagal, this fort was rebuilt by Qutb Shahis, who in 1525 made their capital. It was they who laid out the splendid monuments and parks and designed the famous acoustic system, which enables the sound of a clap at the gates to be heard right up at the citadel. In the vicity of the Golconda fort are the tombs of seven Qutub Shahi kings. These domed mausoleums, built in what used to be old rose gardens called Ibrahim Bagh, are regal monuments that silently tell you of the splendor and grandeur of an era gone by. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 05: HYDERABAD / WARANGAL / RAMAPPA / HYDERABAD
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave Hyderabad this morning for a tour to the ancient Kakatiya capital of Warangal. Visit the 1000 pillared temple, perched elegantly on the slopes of the hills of Hanamakonda, in front of the temple is a Nandi that stands 1.8metres high. The fort at Warangal is another fine example of the Kakatiya rulers and was built in the 12 – 13 century. The outer walls of the fort has a circumference of 49kms, the largest of its kind in India. Proceed to see the temple of Ramappa adorned with rich intricate sculpture that covers the walls, ceilings, brackets and pillars. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 06: HYDERABAD / NAGARJUNAKONDA / HYDERABAD
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for a full day sightseeing tour that will take you back many centuries to what was one of the greatest learning centers of ancient India. Named after the great buddhist scholar Nagarjuna, Nagarjunakonda is a virtual open air museum on an island in a lake, complete with Stupas and Chaityas and monasteries and marvelous sculptures adorning them. The dam of Nagarjunasagar in the vicinity is one of the triumphs of modern India. The dam is 124 metres high and 1 km long is one of the largest masonry dams in the world and the manmade lake is the third largest manmade lake in the world. Return to Hyderabad for overnight.

DAY 07: HYDERABAD / TIRUPATI
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for a visit to the local sights in Hyderbabad. Drive past the Husainsagar lake and see the 350 ton monolithic of Gautam buddha that rises to a height of 18 meters from the waters. Reputed to be the world's largest one-man collection, the famous Salarjung musuem houses around 35,000 antiques and artifacts collected by Salarjung III , a former prime minister of the Nizam. The musuem's 35 halls display an array of treasures and the most important historical exhibits are the ivory chairs of Tipu Sultan of Mysore. One of Hyderabad's best known landmarks, the Charminar was built as an arc of truimph in 1591 by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah to express his gratitude to the almighty for the elimination of dreaded epidemic plague that was ravaging the newly founded city, dominating its bustle & clamour. No visit to Hyderabad is complete without a trip to Laad Bazar that has several tempting buys – rice pearls, glass bangles in every hue and shade imaginable, bangles made of Lak and meters and meters of shining silks and brocades. Transfer to the railway station at Secunderabad for the overnight journey to Tirupati. Overnight in train.

DAY 08: ARRIVE TIRUPATI
On arrival in Tirupati, transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, visit the bustling town of at the foot of the Tirumalai Hills. Join the 25,000 pilgrims that throng the temple daily by any mode of transport possible. The temple at Tirupati has witnessed the rise and fall of many a dynasty and each has endowed it with wealth and jewels. The idol of lord Venkateshwara is made of black stone and is decorated with rich silks and gold ornaments. The temple is surrounded by beautiful gateways or Gopurams and colorful kiosks that sell souvenirs and handicrafts, brass lamps and copper ritual vessels. All around is myriad mosaic of colour as people gush in and out of the temples. The air is full of the undefinable fragrance of flowers, incense tickets and flickering oil lamps. After darshan at the temple. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay./p>

DAY 09: TIRUPATI / CHENNAI
After an early breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the railway station to board train for Chennai.

DAY 03: HASSAN / MYSORE
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Mysore – the sandalwood city en-route visiting Srirangapatnam to visit the tomb of Tippu Sultan. Afternoon, visit the Mysore Palace, Chamundi Hills, Chamarajendra art gallery and Somnathpur temple. Check – in to the hotel at Mysore. Overnight.

DAY 04: MYSORE / OOTY
After breakfast at the hotel, leave Mysore for Ooty - the queen of the Nilgiris en-route stop for a elephant safari at Madumalai. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight.

DAY 05: OOTY
Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour of Ooty, visit the Botanical garden Todda village lake and deer park. Take a train ride in one of the mountain railways of India nestled in the Nilgiri hills. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 06: OOTY / COIMBTORE
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Coimbatore for onward connection.
