DAY 03: GOA
A.m. Half day sightseeing of Goa . Glimpses of Goa starts with a drive to Dona Paula; an idyllic spot which overlooks the magnificient harbour of Marmagoa. A brief photo stop at Miramar beach and onward to Panjim – the capital of the state of Goa. Spread along the Mandovi river are typical houses and villas resplendent of the Portuguese occupation of Goa. Notable among the classic structures in Panjim are Panjim church, Palacio Patriarchal [Bishop's palace] and Palacio Idalco [the present secreteriat] built by Adil Shah in 1492. No visit to Goa is complete without a visit to the Old Goa churches. Visit the basilica of Bom Jesus where the remains of St. Francis Xavier are housed in a silver casket entombed in a marble mausoleum in florentine style. Buy cashews in many a flavour and local port wine at a steal in the busy Panjim markets. P.M. Free overnight.

DAY 04, GOA
Day at leisure. Overnight.

DAY 05: GOA / MUMBAI
Am Check out from the hotel and transfer to domestic airport by hotel courtesy coach to board flight for Mumbai. On arrival into Mumbai transfer from airport to hotel. Overnight.

DAY 06: MUMBAI
A.M. proceed for city sightseeing of Mumbai. Visit to the Gateway of India - a monument built to commemorate the visit of King George V. A drive past the Rajabhai Clock Tower situated in the compound of Mumbai University and on to the charming Marine Drive, Crawford Market and Chowpatty beach with a visit to Jain temple brings you to the gardens of Mumbai located up on the Malabar Hill. The Kamala Nehru Park and the Hanging Gardens are welcome splashes of green in the otherwise concrete jungle with splendid views of the city. Seen from the top while illuminated at night is the Queens Necklace, (the Marine Drive). The Nehru Centre is next and on to the Dhobi Ghat, which is a large open laundry. A visit to the Mani Bhavan is next and an absolute must. It is a big library consisting of Gandhiji's writings and book's belonging to his life in many different languages. A drive back into the city brings you to the Haji Ali, a mosque situated in the middle of the sea, the Mahalaxmi Temple, a temple on the sea shores, dedicated to the goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and property. Victoria Terminus the busy train junction and a drive past the Flora Fountain brings you to the Prince of Wales Museum where the tour ends. Optional : Visit to the Prince of Wales museum. P.M. free. Overnight.

DAY 01: MUMBAI

DAY 02: MUMBAI / AURANGABAD
After breakfast. Visit the Gateway of India, Hanging Gardens, Marine Drive, Prince of Wales Museum and Chowpatty Beach and drive to the airport and board a flight to Aurangabad. Arrive & check in at a hotel. Overnight.

DAY 03: AURANGABAD

After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing tour to the ancient caves at Ajanta. These rock-cut caves are either Buddhist monasteries or prayer halls.The frescoes and paintings on the walls of the Ajanta caves are illustrations from Jataka tales and significant tales from the life of Lord Buddha. Archaeologists believe that the Ajanta Caves were carved out during the 1st and 2nd century B.C.A Unesco World Heritage site, the caves at Ajanta is a window into the ancient times. Drive back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight.

DAY 04: AURANGABAD
Today the Tour of Ajanta and Ellora Package takes you to Aurangabad in Maharashtra, India. Explore the ancient caves at Ellora that were carved out sometime in between the 5th and 13th centuries. Lavishly decorated with sculptures and frescoes these caves may be divided into Buddhist caves, Hindu caves and Jain caves.

A Unesco World Heritage site, the Ellora caves open a window into a glorious time when the common man expressed himself by etching art works on cave walls. Also tour other Aurangabad attractions such as the Daulatabad Fort and Chand Minar as you explore Aurangabad with the tour of Ajanta and Ellora itinerary. Drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 05: AURANGABAD / MUMBAI

After breakfast transfer to airport to board a flight to Mumbai, the commercial capital of India. Check in at a hotel on arrival. Let the tour of Ajanta and Ellora guide take you to Elephanta caves on the Gharapuri Iisland. A Unesco World Heritage site, the caves at Elephanta are decorated with sculptures that celebrate the strength of Lord Shiva. Overnight.

DAY 06: MUMBAI / ONWARD

DAY 02: AHMEDABAD
Breakfast at the hotel Am proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad. The principal city of Gujarat, Ahmedabad is one of the major industrial cities in India. It blends harmoniously an ancient heritage with a vibrant present. It has been called the " Manchester of the east " due to its textile industries. The city's prosperous and eventful past and present is embodied in its rich kaleidoscope of history, art and culture, rich architecture and imposing monuments. One of the major attractions in Ahmedabad is Gandhi's ashram at Sabarmati. It is open to tourists and houses a small museum. Ahmedabad is famous for its Indo Saracenic architectural structures. Overnight.

DAY 03: AHMEDABAD / MOUNT ABU

Breakfast at the hotel AM drive to Mt.Abu visiting the holy shrine of Ambaji en route. Located on the Gujarat - Rajasthan border, the religious town of Ambaji is famous for the Maa Ambaji temple, one of the richest and holiest temples in Gujarat attracting lakhs of pilgrims every year. The original seat of Ambaji Mata is on Gabbar Hilltop, which is 3 Kms away from Ambaji town. Ambaji Mata temple is one of the 51 shakti peeths where it is believed the heart of Goddess Parvati fell. Arrive in Mt. Abu and check in at the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 04: MOUNT ABU

Breakfast at the hotel AM proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Mt. Abu. Mt. Abu is particularly famous for its Dilwara Jain temples. Wondrously carved in marble, the Dilwara temples enshrine various Jain 'tirthankaras' or saints. Sightseeing also includes a visit to vantage points such as the sunset point and Nakki Lake. Overnight.

DAY 05: MOUNT ABU / RAJKOT
Breakfast at the hotel AM drive to Rajkot. Arrive Rajkot and check in at the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 06: RAJKOT

Breakfast at the hotel. AM proceed for a half day sightseeing tour of Rajkot. The bustling town of Rajkot was once the capital of the princely state of Saurashtra, a former British headquarters and also home to Mahatma Gandhi in his early years. Visit the Watson Museum and library and Gandhiji’s home. Rajkot is famous for its Bandhani sarees, mirror-work, patch work, bead work and silk embroidery. Overnight.

DAY 07: RAJKOT

Breakfast at the hotel AM proceed for a day excursion trip to Virpur and Gondal. Overnight.

DAY 08: RAJKOT / PORBANDER

Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Porbander. Arrive Porbander and check in at the hotel. Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, is a picturesque little seaside resort on the west coast of Gujarat. Overnight.

DAY 09: PORBANDER

Breakfast at the hotel AM proceed for a day trip to Dwarka enroute visit Bet-Dwarka. One of the most important places on the coast of Saurasthra is Dwarka, most well known for Lord Krishna. Believed to have been founded by Lord Krishna himself, it was called Swarnadwarka or 'Golden Dwarka'. According to the Krishna legend it was the adopted home of Lord Krishna after he gave up Mathura. Visit the Nageshwar Mandir that contains one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in an underground sanctum. Gopal Talav Teerth is associated with Krishna (and Arjun) and contains several shrines in the complex. A day trip to the tiny island of Bet Dwarka, also closely associated with the Krishna legend, is must for any pilgrim to Dwarka, as its temple is said to stand on the spot where Krishna died. Small, precariously full wooden dinghies transport pilgrims from the port of Okha, on the westernmost point of the peninsula, to the island, where devotees scatter rupees and flowers towards Krishna's shrine and wait eagerly for the appearance of the priests who hand out prasad. Overnight.

DAY 10: PORBANDER / ONWARDS
Breakfast at the hotel. AM drive to Porbander airport for your onward destination.

SOUTH GUJARAT (04 NIGHTS / 05 DAYS) [Code:WI-SG]

DAY 01: AHMEDABAD / DWARKA
Morning after breakfast drive to Dwarka. The sacred town or Dwarka is one of the main centres of the Krishna Legend. Enroute sightseeing of Rajkot, which was once the capital of the princely state of Saurashtra. Today it is known as the town where Mahatma Gandhi spent the early years of his life. Visit Jamnagar city, founded in 1540 it is the abode of the Jam- the Jadeja Rajput rulers Nawanagar and is the capital of their state. It is an interesting city which enjoys a variety of distinction. It is renowned for its pearl fisheries. A naval base of some importance, and a certain type of tie-and dye fabrics. Arrive & check in hotel. Overnight.


DAY 02: DWARKA / PORBANDAR
Morning after breakfast drive to Porbandar. Porbandar is situated South of Dwarka, on the western coast and it is a picturesque old sea port associated with the birth of Mahatma Gandhi. Commemorating this event is the Kirti Mandir Memorial which contains the little room where the Mahatma was born. Enroute sightseeing of Bet-Dwarka, which is to a little north of Dwarka, a ferry crosses from Okha to the island of Bet, where Vishnu is said to have slain a demon. Visit Harshad Mata temple. Arrive & check in hotel. Overnight.


DAY 03: PORBADAR / JUNAGADH

Morning after breakfast drive to Junagadh.an ancient fortified city rich in Myth and Legend. The antiquities of Junagadh go back to the time of the Emperor Ashok (250 B.C. ) Enroute sightseeing of Somnath, which is one of the twelve most sacred Shiva shrines in India. According to the legend Somnath is as old as creation, built by none other then the Moon God himself. Visit Sasan Gir sanctuary which provide refuge to that rare species- the Asiatic lion. The sanctuary cover an area of 500 square miles of dry, open scrubland where the lions roams freely. Arrive & check in hotel. Overnight.


DAY 04: JUNAGADH / PALITANA
Morning after breakfast drive to Palitana, enroute sightseeing of Virpur, a holy place. Palitana was built over a period of 900 years, and has 863 temples. Almost all the temples are jain and this hill is one of jainism’s holiest pilgrimage place. Arrive & check in hotel. Overnight.


DAY 05: PALITANA / AHMEDABAD
Morning after breakfast drive to Ahmedabad. Drive enroute visiting Jain Temple atop Shatrunjaya Hills, and Lothal which means place of the dead.’ Lothal is essentially a single culture site. The Harappan culture in all its variant forms is well represented here. On arrival in Ahmedabad tour terminates.
